Keep these questions and any others that may come to mind with you when you are deciding on your bedroom vanity design. You will want to make sure your bedroom vanity is installed correctly, if you do not have the do-it-yourself skills to do this you can hire someone to either assist you or you can learn the skills needed at a home improvement store. However you choose to go about it make sure you do your homework.
A bedroom vanity is very different from a bathroom vanity. It is typically a table that can be sat at with a mirror. Bedroom vanities, also known as makeup tables, are ideal for a woman or teenage girl because they are an excellent way to do your makeup. Bathroom vanities are also very esthetically appealing and are an excellent addition to any bedroom. They don`t take up much space, and are very useful. Most bedroom vanities come with plenty of storage space to store makeup and other accessories, and the mirror is angled so that it is easy to apply makeup comfortably.
For instance, many vanities come in sets that include stools. These stools tend to only have legs, but there are a few that are miniature chairs that can seat you comfortably with a back rest and arm rests. While stools are usually not made to accommodate storage spaces, they do tend to sit high enough for you to place items under them if necessary. Of course, stools found in a set will match the vanity in color and the material from which it was made.
Bedroom vanities are typically not very wide, and so do not take up much space in the room. In fact, because of the reflection from the mirror, they can create the illusion that the room is bigger than it is. Often they are not just basic mirrors either. There is the option to purchase a vanity with a dual sided mirror; one side that magnifies and one normal side. Some vanities come with more than one mirror, so that they can be angled to show three sides of the face. There are also some vanities that have built in lighting, so that one has a better view of their face to apply makeup with.
Since the vanity is something you do not replace very often you will want to choose a design that you can live with for many years to come. If you are making these decisions for a child`s room instead of the master bedroom there are a could other things to keep in mind. You probably do not want to design your children`s bedroom vanity to look too "babyish" because they will grow out of it quickly. A better design choice would be to use primary colors, wood, or a white vanity that won`t clash with the rest of the bedroom as your child grows up.
